Statiq EV Charger Review & How to Charge, EV Charging Price

The market is filled with numerous EV-charging providers, some are too cheap and some are above the affordable range. But there’s a sweet spot in between, where the “Statiq comes in”. Statiq is one of the country’s most-selling EV charging providers with a large network of 7000+ chargers spread across 65+ Indian cities.

But what’s the on-ground reality of the chargers? Is it all green, or do people face challenges charging their EVs? Let’s have a look at Statiq’s EV charger situated in “Galleria Gurugram” and review it from the POV of a normal EV owner.

First look at Statiq EV charger:

At Galleria, this charging point is situated in the HubSpot of the Galleria Market just beside the road. It’s a one-charging point setup with a power rating of 50kW, 2 guns, and a parking space that was supposed to be for 2 electric cars (but believe me it was just barely enough for 2 EV chargers).

The charger is surrounded by various restaurants and public gathering sites where the EV owners can roam around and relax while their EV is juicing itself up. Because the charger was just beside the road it was super easy for EV owners to navigate and put their EV onto charging.

The charger has a screen to display all the actions like charging or not, how much charging is done, time remaining, and a lot more things. Just below that, we have 4-5 buttons to show power

We had a watchman dada who secured the station and guided the EV owners in plugging in the charging, he was friendly and sweet.

Charging Nexon EV at Statiq:

While we were standing, we got a white Nexon EV knocking on the door asking us to charge. Here’s what the process of charging a Nexon EV at the Statiq EV charging station looked like.

Step 1: First the user puts the CCS charging gun inside the Nexon EV.

Step 2: Now it’s time to book the slot and make the payment.

Step 3: You’ll see all the available slots at the charging point, and you just click on one of them.

Step 4: After booking the slot you choose the method of charging the EV from units/charging time.

Step 5: After choosing the method you add money to your Statiq app wallet.

Step 6: After adding money, you can start the charging session and your vehicle will start juicing itself up.

Now because it’s a 50kW DC charging station you can charge the Nexon EV full within an hour.

Ending the charging session:

In case you don’t want to go with the selected plan you can simply stop the charging with just one click on your Statiq app and remove the gun. Just to be on the safe side check on the charger too whether the charging has stopped or not.

Condition of the Statiq EV charger:

The charger was not clean but not pathetically dirty too it was in a decent condition, and you can use it with no issues. It’s just that the entrance and parking space were not sufficient for 2 Nexon EVs and just in case any wider electric car like BMW comes in for the charging it leaves no space for any other EV.

Final Verdict:

Overall the charging point’s condition looks good and ready to use, and the surroundings look fine, it’s just that cleanliness is the one point that needs to be taken care of.

Here’s a list of likes and dislikes of the statiq’s charging point:

Likes

Dislikes

Easy-to-use interface

Congested area

Strategic position/Location

Dusty chargers

Interactive user interface

Less cleanliness

Built heavy

Small parking space

So, in the end, we can conclude that the statiq charging station is easy to locate, and easy to use but not well groomed which impacts a lot on the use experience.
