How to apply for Charging station in India:

To grow the EV infrastructure quickly, the government has ensured minimal resistance from businesses or individuals working on EV infrastructure. Unlike setting up a petrol station you don’t need any license or multiple layers of approval for a charging station.

To get the government approval all you need to make sure of is,

  • You have a place large enough to set up a charging station,
  • a power supply setup capable enough to charge multiple EVs simultaneously, and
  • constructed well enough to pass EVs smoothly creating no choking point.

So these are the few things you need to ensure before applying for the EV charging station.
